Angel City Football Club (ACFC), Los Angeles' National Women's Soccer League team, is currently in its fifth season, playing at BMO Stadium in downtown Los Angeles. The club is led by controlling owners Willow Bay and Bob Iger and was co-founded by tech entrepreneur Julie Uhrman, actor and activist Natalie Portman, and venture capitalist Kara Nortman. Mark Parsons serves as the club's Sporting Director, with Alex Straus as head coach. ACFC is on a mission to build the fiercest, most inclusive community in world football. From day one, ACFC has embedded community impact into its business model, allocating 10% of all sponsorship revenue to community initiatives and programs. This commitment has invested more than $4.8 million into the Los Angeles community, impacting over 375,000 Angelenos and contributing to the club's recognition as the 2024 ESPY Award winner for Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year. The club's community initiatives have made a significant impact on the city, and its commitment to inclusivity has set a new standard for the sport. ACFC's focus on community engagement has also helped to grow the club's fan base and increase its visibility in the local market. The club's leadership team, including Mark Parsons and Alex Straus, has been instrumental in driving this mission forward. As ACFC continues to grow and develop, its commitment to community impact will remain a key aspect of its business model.
